"Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she's untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened, had we not fought."
I watched, not read. I did not hear side effect. To make sure I did not miss any, words, I read. And there's no such words spelled side effect. Would you please show me?
@心羽 @晓晓 She is going to represent the 7th district of Pennsylvania where there are only 4% Asian. She is NOT going to represent you if you're not in her district. The idea is to give this high achieving Chinese American girl a chance to fulfill her American Dream. The politics of her district would determine her politics and her chance of success.
That is beyond my consideration wether she now is representing me or not, I simply want to encourage her because she is a girl who is willing to dedicate her time to serve the public and with great courage.
The politics of PA 7th will not change dramatically whether Lindy wins or not. Even if you disagree with her politics and she can win PA 7th, that means someone who is not Chinese American but with similar politics can win that district. What do you get to lose?! I want more Chinese American into politics even if I disagree with them. Why can't a Chinese American be a "bad guy" that hogs the microphone for once?!
If you really can't get yourself to support her, stay put. Let others go ahead. Don't put political litmus test on her. If a Democrat can win PA 7th in 2016, I hope it's Lindy. If not, we have nothing to lose.
If Lindy does well, particular in the money part, it will make both parties more eager to recruit Chinese American candidates. I'm still waiting for the Republican version of Lindy for US Congress.
@谈云识天气 if she is so young, so inexperienced, so female, so easily targeted as manipulable, I cannot think of any edge she has and she might eventually resort to radicality, a far left stance, to possibly stir up some interest. But who wants that? So let her state her politics is very important.
@谈云识天气 who knows if nobody tells. We don't live there. Burden is on the candidate to clarify the stance. But it is not too sincere for the handlers or supporters to say her politics is irrelevant.
@菁菁 Again, she is NOT supposed to represent you. The idea is to give a Chinese American girl a chance to do a very American thing: go with her dream to represent her district.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@菁菁 If you are running for US Congress as Republican from Texas, not from my district, I would donate to your campaign. Compared to those all those crazy Republicans from Texas, what do I lose?!
@谈云识天气 this is politics, not a beauty pageant. And even beauty pageant contestants have to answer political questions, even though they will not represent anyone.
@菁菁 Yes. More specifically it's American politics. It has a different math than you assume. The basic patterns are well established. All you can do is to choose from different alternatives.
If you play your compaign to a higher standard, appeal to poeple at a deeper level, you will only win more people's support. Not only "if you scratch my back, I you."
