Im an ob/gyn, and I love those people who have nothing better to do with their time but hang out in front of my office. I love going to to work every single day and having to put up with people who pretend to be pro life...when they are actually just pro pregnancy. I love being called names, having my car trashed, having graphic photos shoved in my face (because an ob/gyn doesn't know what abortion does) and women pushing strollers with cut up dolls covered in red liquid to look like blood...I've even been followed home on occasion. All this...despite the fact that my office doesn't even provide abortions. It's over the fact that I accept referrals for PP. This is the level of ignorance some people have when it comes to PP. They don't understand, or care, that abortions account for 3% of services offered. PP is responsible for the low abortion rate, and early cancer detection. Protestors are protesting the very organization responsible for lowering the abortion rate...how does this even make sense? If pro lifers are so concerned about the well being of fetuses, they must surly spend their time offering to adopt or become emotionally, physically, and financially responsible after these babies are born for the next 18 years...but they aren't because they could care less about what happens after the baby is brought into the world. A woman is capable of making choices for what's best for them...NOT YOU. It's their legal right. Mind your own business. Even if abortion was illegal, it still won't stop them from happening. Instead, women will be subjected to untrained people who are willing to take advantage of a woman's desperation looking to make a quick buck...while putting a woman's life in jeopardy. You don't have to support abortion, and nobody is expecting you to, but you have no right demeaning women who do. What a woman does has no impact on your life in any way, shape or form. You don't support abortion? Excellent for you. Don't have one. Very simple.
