@Henry Yang You and I can have ideological arguments forever. But most folks care about politics as its impact on their lives. I just want to point out that you need competent representation even if you disagree with me.
Before I joined this group, I actually posted to other groups that I think if you are not happy with Harvard's admission policy, you should support 赵宇空's case, not Blum's. Because 赵宇空's case seeks more information from Harvard, not risk our 20%. Harvard cares about its reputation. Investigation from DOJ will force it to be more aware potential subconscious bias which I think is our main obstacle. It was a really disappointment that 赵's case bounced right back.
Think about it. When Blum filed his case last November in federal court, did we hear a lot about in general news media? When 赵 filed his case, almost every major news media ran articles and commentaries on it. There was real political momentum. Now we lost the momentum. Blum get to take over our issues.
I feel sad to see this kind of hasty, weak case. Law suit should be pursued with seriousness and intent to win, not just to put somebody within the leach.
Edmund Burke is my conservative hero. He supported the American Revolution, but was firmly against the French Revolution. I won't easily buy "new solutions" just because I'm not happy with the current one.
Even after our weekend debate, I told me who supported suing Harvard, you should donate to @赵宇空 so that he can do some proper research. He missed the risk of top 10 percent, what else has he missed?
@Henry Yang poor guy, I've been ignoring you on this for so long that it's no longer funny, it's border on mean. But I did answer some of your questions, but not others. There is method behind the madness. Can you figure it out? I will give you some time. Today is truce day for me.
