President Trump has reportedly given White House aides orders by calling them to the residence in the evenings and then tells them not to tell chief of staff John Kelly.
Giving banks yet another tax break just 9 years after the financial crisis is like giving an arsonist an unlimited supply of gasoline, or giving Donald Trump the Presidency.
In an email with the subject “Kremlin Connection,” NRA member Paul Erickson asked campaign advisor Rick Dearborn to seek then-Senator Jeff Sessions’ guidance on how to set up a meeting between Trump and Putin.
Robert Reich: Months ago, when people asked me whether Republican leaders could get away with giving a huge tax cut to their corporate and wealthy patrons, and then use the resulting deficit as an excuse to cut Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security, I said no way. I was sure that if they tried this, the vast majority of Americans – whose wages have been flat or declining for years, and who rely on these safety nets – would be up in arms. The GOP would be a minority party for a generation. But now that Trump and Republican leaders have succeeded this far, I'm having second thoughts. They have zero integrity. They are willing to lie continuously, and hide what they're really doing. The Senate bill ends health coverage for 13 million, and Republican leaders say they have no money to cover 9 million children. Big lies, told repeatedly, can be convincing – especially when met with a tepid and underwhelming Democratic response. Trump himself is nothing but a conman. He told Americans they'd get a tax cut and he himself would pay more taxes. He lies with impunity, instructing Americans to trust his tweets over experts and the media His protective coating isn’t Teflon, it’s pure sleaze. So it is possible Republicans could get away with it cutting taxes on the rich and cutting safety nets for everyone else. Unless all of us tell the truth and make a ruckus. What do you think?
