Finally, some famous New Yorker humor: http://www.newyorker.com/cartoons/daily-cartoon/wednesday-october-7th-hillary-bernie-duel Cheer up, my conservative friends! Life is beautiful! We are not going to hell in a handbasket, at least not yet.
@社会主义好? This is called politics. if you want to win, you have to build a larger collation than your opponent. By definition, there will be more people pulling you toward more different directions. It's not necessarily that politicians are worse than other people, they just want to please lots of people, which is inherently contradictory. Politics are not for the simple minded, my friend.
There are plenty of people in CCP history demanding ideological purity. The one guy who is famous for being practical, not ideological purity, is the guy achieved the most. 邓
@社会主义好? When you date a girl, do you expect all her answers to be 100% honest? Do you know who gives you 100% honest answers without any consideration of social cue? Autism kids.
@谈云识天气 It is not nice/correct to bring up "Autism kids". We/I supported and helped GOP Catharine Baker and Dem Steve Glazer won the election, though they all have different views from me on lots of issues We know which candidate is better and can win
Can you go beyond local elections without building a larger coalition?! Why the White House petition is still at 15%?! Why can't we reach outside the Chinese American community?! I'm sure there are lots of American don't like prosecutorial overreach (whites) and profiling (blacks).
@谈云识天气 "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
The 100k threshold is set for general issues. If we limit our petition to an issue for Chinese American alone, it's high bar given our population size. Why cannot we reach outside? Why we limit ourselves?!
