@赵宇空 the reason I asked, is that i don't see the passion and quick reaction across the board in this one verse the sca5. ScA5 reaction were swift, spontaneous across the entires Asian community, you guy knows better, but I don't see it in this case even within the Chinese community ourselves
@Henry Yang good we're making progress! I have both you and @赵宇空 on the record saying you are against the top x percent. Then why can't you formula a legal brief reflect that?!
@Henry Yang In Supreme Court, you have to get your details right. Otherwise you may win the case, but lose war. We may end up with less students in Harvard based on top x percent plan.
2013 Fisher v. University of Texas, JUSTICE THOMAS: "I join the Court’s opinion because I agree that the Court of Appeals did not apply strict scrutiny to the Universityof Texas at Austin’s (University) use of racial discrimination in admissions decisions."
@Henry Yang you don't really care about solution, do you? Supreme Court's decision set the standard on what is legal for admission policy. Top 10 percent is on the table. If the Supreme Court says this is legal way to achieve diversity, many schools will model its policy based on it. This is how America works. It doesn't always require direct order from the government.
