Phillip TK Yin is the Business Anchor for the launch of CCTV America based in Washington D.C., with a show focused on business and politics. The live show helps viewers understand economic and political issues facing America and the global audience. During his career, he has conducted over 4000+ guests. In 2012, he was part of the first comprehensive U.S. Presidential election coverage for viewers in Asia and China. He has moderated and been a part at global events including, Davos Switzerland, IMF World Bank Meetings in Washington, and Clean Energy Conference in Shanghai. His coverage includes the 2011 Japanese Tsunami, and the European Debt Crisis, and the U.S. Political Budget and Debt Showdown between Congress and the White House. He conducted one of the last interviews with Ms. Christine Lagarde while she was the French Finance Minister prior to the Dominique Strauss-Kahn scandal.

Previously, He was the Anchor/Reporter for Bloomberg Television and CNBC Asia Television covering major international events such as the European debt crisis and the Japanese Earthquake/Tsunami. He has interviewed over 3000+ economists, politicians, and corporate leaders. His interviews include former U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, World Bank President Zoellick, Standard and Poor’s President Sharma, HSBC Bank CEO Mr. Wong, and tennis champion Roger Federer.

In the investment community, he was the senior portfolio advisor and opened the Unifund, Swiss-based investment firm, office in Hong Kong. He provided institutional strategy for the global portfolio. His work includes conducting due diligence on private equity and direct investments. At Charles Schwab, he launched their portfolio management business in Hong Kong. In 2009, he helped lead and investigate credit derivatives after Lehman’s bankruptcy which ultimately helped recover losses of $1.8 billion USD.

Phillip Yin is a graduate of the International MBA from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., an undergraduate Business degree from the University of Washington, and completed a summer program at the Harvard Business School in Boston. He previously served on the Citizen’s Oversight Council for Washington State Transportation’s Sound Transit, an appointment by the Mayor of Seattle and senior State officials. More recently, he was the Vice Chairman of the Committee of China Business for the Hong Kong American Chamber of Commerce.
