Description: A bill to provide for a study by the Secretary of Health and Human Services to develop recommendations for correcting the disparities in the computation of social security benefits (commonly referred to as the "notch problem") which were caused by the enactment (in 1977) of the present formula for computing primary insurance amounts under title II of the Social Security Act.
